Dejan Lovren unimpressed with Sergio Ramos winning UEFA Defender of the Season

Mohamed Salah had to sit just a few inches away from Sergio Ramos when the Real Madrid star was awarded Defender of the Season by UEFA.

Ramos tackle injured Salah in the Champions League final, forcing the Liverpool star to exit the game and dashed the forwards hope of being fully fit for the World Cup.

Salah did not acknowledge Ramos as he squeezed his rivals shoulder on his way back to his seat after collecting his award, but Dejan Lovren was on hand to fire a few shots at the centre-back.

The bromance between Lovren and Salah is well established and the centre-back trolled Ramos after his team-mate was made sit through a love-in for the defender at the Champions League group stage draw in Monaco.

The Champions League Instagram account posted a picture celebrating Ramos achievement, and Lovren commented with two face-palm emojis.

Self described one of the best defenders in the world Lovren was clearly not impressed with UEFAs choice, and would not have been happy to see Ramos touch Salahs shoulder.

Salah blanked Ramos as he passed by, and Liverpool fans were furious to see the defender troll their star man.

The Egyptian was then further disappointed when Luka Modric pipped him to the Player of the Year award.

Lovren, on the other hand, watched the draw in Monaco from afar as Liverpool were matched with Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli and Red Star Belgrade.

Napoli, we beat them in pre-season but it goes without saying these two games will be completely a different challenge.
