Angel Gomes sends message to Manchester United fans after ‘liking’ photo of Manchester City’s celebrations at Old Trafford
Manchester United youngster Angel Gomes has moved to appease supporters after he was caught ‘liking’ a photo of Manchester City’s celebrations following their 2-1 win at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The 17-year-old endorsed Brahim Diaz’s Instagram post that depicted the City team celebrating their win at the Theatre of Dreams.
Gomes is highly-rated at Old Trafford but he’s been heavily linked with a move to La Liga giants Barcelona and his father recently sent a warning to the Red Devils that he’s in demand.
However, the England U17 captain has moved quickly to dampen question marks over his future and uploaded a photo onto his Instagram story to prove his love for the club.

The playmaker has only made one appearance for the Red Devils but he already has 375,000 followers on Instagram.
Gomes became the youngest player to represent United since the late Duncan Edwards when he replaced Wayne Rooney in last season’s 2-0 win against Crystal Palace.

However, the youngster’s route into the first-team is blocked by the likes of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford and Mourinho will have to show Gomes that he will get game time to convince him to stay at Old Trafford.
