Manchester United urged to launch move for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez
Manchester United have been urged to launch a move for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez.
Sanchez, 29, is expected to leave the Emirates either in January or the summer after refusing to sign a new contract with the club.
The Chile international was on the verge of joining Premier League rivals Manchester City on deadline day last summer but the move collapsed as Arsenal were unable to find a replacement.

City boss Pep Guardiola is said to be hopeful of finally signing Sanchez during the January transfer window but Jose Mourinho has been told to enter the race.
Former Republic of Ireland international Tony Cascarino said in a column for The Times: ‘[Jesse] Lingard’s success is symbolic of why United will finish second, or even third, and Manchester City will cruise to the title.

‘Look at Sergio Agüero – he would walk into United’s team and yet he often finds himself on the bench under Pep Guardiola.
‘I think United should try to snatch Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal.
‘They managed it with Robin van Persie, and Mourinho would be able to offer him assured starts, whereas he might face more competition at City.’
Sanchez, who joined Arsenal from Barcelona in 2014, has also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich. In 18 games for the Gunners this season, Sanchez has scored six goals.
