Tottenham striker Harry Kane reportedly ruled out until May with ankle injury
Harry Kane has been ruled out until May with his ankle injury and the Tottenham striker faces a fight to be fully fit for England’s World Cup campaign, according to reports.
The 24-year-old damaged his ankle ligaments during Spurs’ 4-1 win over Bournemouth on Sunday and was substituted after just 34 minutes.
Kane did not undergo a scan on Monday due to the swelling in his ankle, but the Daily Mirror report that Spurs fear that the striker will miss around seven weeks due to the seriousness of the injury.
That would mean Kane would return for the final few games of Spurs’ Premier League season and would have only a few matches to build his fitness ahead of England’s World Cup run in Russia this summer.
Kane is definitely ruled out of Tottenham’s FA Cup clash with Swansea on Saturday.
While the England striker is also set to miss Spurs’ key Premier League fixtures against Chelsea and Manchester City next month.
