Willian could play for ‘any team in the world’ including Barcelona, says Frank Lampard
Chelsea legend Frank Lampard believes Willian is in the form of his life and is the only current member of Antonio Conte’s squad that could get into Barcelona’s side.
The Blues were knocked out of the Champions League after a 3-0 defeat to Barcelona at the Nou Camp after Lionel Messi scored two either side of Ousmane Dembele’s goal.
Chelsea hit the post twice in either leg and were denied a penalty at 2-0 when Gerard Pique appeared to bring down Marcos Alonso in the box.
Willian was Chelsea’s brightest spark at the Camp Nou and Lampard believes the Brazilian would walk into Barcelona’s side.
‘Willian was at the middle of everything good they did today,’ Lampard told BT Sport.
‘He’s on top form at the moment. Without doubt, he could easily play in any team in the world.
‘He could have played in Barcelona’s team – we wax lyrical about Messi – I think Willian can play at that level.’

Chelsea’s 4-1 aggregate defeat means the FA Cup is the club’s only chance of silverware this season and they face Leicester City away from home on Sunday for a place in the semi-finals.
Olivier Giroud started against the Catalans on Wednesday but Alvaro Morata is likely to start against the Foxes, while Tiemoue Bakayoko could replace Cesc Fabregas.
