Tinie Tempah and Modus Vivendiis capsule collection is true African fashion excellence
Tinie Tempah, one of the worlds most stylish men, has teamed up with Lagos-based streetwear brand Modus Vivendii, for his latest capsule collection.
In a bid to infuse his streetwear with the colours and style of Nigeria, Tinies clothing label, What We Wear (WWW), has collaborated with Modus Vivendii to produce 7 Days Till Lagos.
Shown earlier this month at Arise Fashion Week, the collection is the very embodiment of West African excellence.
You have your streetwear staples – hoodies, tracksuit bottoms, vests – all in different fabrics and patterns to bring that Nigerian swag to life.
Previous WWW collections have used monochrome palettes, so this season is really a departure from the norm.
But boy, has it paid off.
If youre unfamiliar with Modus Vivendii, it started out as a blog run by three London-based Nigerian guys. It soon grew too big to simply exist in the bloggersphere and has since become a fashion brand which has worked with all kinds of big names from Big Sean and Labrinth to Franca Sozzani (Editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia) and Roberto Cavalli.

Today Modus Vivendii can be described as “Vogue endorsed street couture brand that aims to create the highest quality of clothing for its customers”, they say.
Tinie, who is of Nigerian heritage, worked with Lagos-based photographer, Baingor Joiner and model, Victor Ndigwe for the collections shoot.
