Sergio Agueros dad says Manchester City star will be back in training in 10 days
Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero could return to action before the end of the season after successfully undergoing knee surgery, according to his father.
The Argentine striker had an operation on his knee on Tuesday after sustaining the injury in a training session in March, with the problem further aggravated by a challenge from Ashley Young in the Manchester derby.
There had been fears that Aguero might miss the World Cup, but his father, Leonel del Castillo, is confident he will be fully recovered in time.
Sergio is fine, he told Argentine radio station Radio Continental. They did the arthroscopy by cleaning the inside of his knee.
The Man City doctors sent him to Barcelona as a precaution and they did the work they needed to do on him. Everything went fine and in around 10 days time he should be back to training.

Hes looking after himself to make sure hes going to be okay and I think hell be back on the pitch with a good recovery time.
Aguero, who is one strike away from scoring his 200th goal for Manchester City, underwent surgery in Barcelona and is due to return to Manchester in a few days time.
The 29-year-old has enjoyed another excellent campaign at the Etihad and was particularly prolific while Gabriel Jesus was sidelined, netting 15 goals in 13 games at the start of 2018.
