Hong Kong Racing Tips: Leisured Feet can keep Moreira one step ahead
THERE may have been recent mutterings of discontent from the gambling-mad racing fans about their proverbial cash-point machine jockey Moreira, but all can be forgiven at Happy Valley this afternoon.
Nothing keeps the locals happier than a winner, so expect Moreira to be quick out of the blocks as he discards recent winner Bingo to climb aboard the highly-promising LEISURED FEET at 12.45pm.
This Chris So-trained four-year-old did well from an awkward draw to chase home handicap good thing
Hero Time over the track and trip three weeks back, and this time he has landed the all-important inside stall. He is going to be very hard to catch over six furlongs.
So and Moreira have proved a winning partnership to follow this season, with eight winners and 13 places from just 40 races.
They look to have another big chance of success when they team up with the lightly-raced but talented EIGHTY EIGHTY over six furlongs in the 2.15pm.
This Australian-bred gelding has already tasted success at Sha Tin, but still looks a work in progress and will surely appreciate spinning around the tight bends at the Valley.
He is drawn in stall three which is an obvious bonus, allowing Moreira to sit in the box-seat just off the leaders and then dash for glory down the home stretch.
Moreira has deserted another inform horse in Money Winner in the 3.15pm over the extended mile and stays faithful to Jolly Gains who finished runner-up last start.
The combination may have to play second fiddle again to top-weight THE JUDGE, ridden by that man Purton, and who looks a class above his rivals.
