Barcelona lining up Liverpool flop to replace the departing Andres Iniesta
Barcelona are targeting Lazios Luis Alberto to replace the departing Andres Iniesta at the end of the season, as being reported by The Mirror.
Alberto is perhaps better known for his unsuccesful stint at Liverpool when he joined from Sevilla in 2013.
He spent three years at the Premier League club, but he made just 12 appearances and was loaned out Malaga and Deportivo.

Iniesta is set to leave the Catalan club after 22 years, and Alberto is being reported as a potential replacement. The midfielder made 38 appearances for the Barcelona B team over the 2012-13 season so is familiar with the club.

And despite his unremarkable time in the Premier League, the 25-year-old has improved in Serie A, bagging 12 goals in 47 games this season.

Some impressive club performances have also caught the eye of Spanish national coach Julen Lopetegui, who selected him to make his international debut in November when he played in their 5-0 win over Costa Rica.
