Sven Mislintat lines up another raid on Dortmund to solve Arsenal defensive woes
Arsenal head of recruitment Sven Mislintat is pressing ahead with his summer transfer plans and has already spoken to the agent of Borussia Dortmund defender Sokratis Papasthatopoulos.
Mislintat moved to the Emirates in a backroom reshuffle in anticipation of Arsene Wenger stepping down as manager, and the club will move for players regardless of whether a successor is in place.
And now German publication Bild report that Mislintat has already spoken to the agent of Sokratis regarding a deal that would cost around €20million (£17.4m).
Sokratis is out of contract next year and available for a relatively modest price, especially after a rather underwhelming campaign compared to previous seasons.
The Greek internationals agent has already spoken to Mislintat about a summer move, with Arsenal keen to reinforce their defence.
The Gunners back-line has struggled badly this season, with Shkodran Mustafi routinely coming in for criticism, and a centre-back is one of their main priorities when the window reopens.

Mislintat had a hand in bringing Sokratis to Dortmund from Werder Bremen in 2013, and it would be the second time he has raided his old club after also signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January.
