Sir Alex Ferguson dines with Pep Guardiola to celebrate Manchester City title win
Former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson took Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola out to dinner to congratulate the Spanish coach on Citys title win, according to reports.
Guardiolas side equalled Sir Alexs record for the earliest ever title win, with five games to spare, in a stellar campaign that can see them set a host of new milestones.
City are at home to Huddersfield on Sunday – when they will be presented with their third Premier League trophy – and can set new records for most points, goals and wins in a campaign.
Despite Fergusons long association with the Red Devils, The Sun report that he put his rivalry with Uniteds noisy neighbours to one side to spend an evening with Guardiola.

United lost 1-0 to West Brom at Old Trafford to gift City, who had beaten Tottenham a day earlier, the title, and just a few days afterwards Fergie invited Guardiola to dinner.

Ferguson congratulated Guardiola on his excellent campaign with City and discussed football with the Catalan coach.
Although he had a fierce rivalry with City while in the dugout, and lost to Guardiolas Barcelona in the Champions League, Ferguson has mellowed since retiring.
He now enjoys picking the brains of other managers, and did exactly that with Guardiola – the Catalan has masterminded a 16-point gap to second-placed United.
Fergie has met with Guardiola previously, and even tried to get him to join United before he chose City.
