Diego Costa shows true class by urging Atletico Madrid team-mates to put the ball out of play for Laurent Koscielny
Diego Costa showed the softer side of his character during Atletico Madrids clash with Arsenal when he urged his team-mates to put the ball out of play when Laurent Koscielny went down injured off the ball.
The French defender was stretchered off just minutes into Arsenals second leg Europa League semi-final clash in Spain and was in clear distress as Arsenals team doctor came to his aid.
Atletico were on the break when Koscielny collapsed to the ground and Antoine Griezmann had the chance to play in Costa, who had been marked by Koscielny before his injury.
However, Costa showed this more to him than meets the eye by urging his team-mates to kick the ball out of play so the doctor could attend to Koscielny.
Once the ball was out of play, Costa then turned to the sidelines and urged the physios to make their way over to Koscielny.

The France defender now faces a race against time to be fit for the World Cup and the early signs are not good for the 32-year-old.

This summers World Cup was likely to be Koscielnys last before retirement but an Achilles injury will almost certainly put him out of Frances campaign in Russia.
Costa was the pantomine villain in Arsenals clashes with Chelsea during the Spaniards stay at Stamford Bridge.
However, he may have just won over some Arsenal fans tonight with his gesture for Koscielny.
