MacDonald has insisted he is open to the prospect of fighting Mousasi, and the new champion thinks the Canadian is the perfect next opponent for him.
The former UFC star has not fought since claiming his title against Douglas Lima at the start of the year, as he is recovering from a nasty leg injury he sustained in that fight.
Bellator are planning to head to Amsterdam in the coming months and Mousasi wants to headline the fight night in his native county.

My goal was never to be the best middleweight, I never had that desire.
