Liverpool set to complete £55m Nabil Fekir transfer in next 24 hours
Liverpool are confident of completing a £55m deal for France star Nabil Fekir in the next 24 hours after Lyon gave the green light to conclude the transfer before the World Cup.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas appeared to rule out Liverpools chances of signing Fekir before the tournament in Russia and the Reds feared the French club were using the World Cup to ramp up the price for the midfielder.
However, Fekir has his heart set on Anfield and Lyon have agreed to let him leave for Liverpool.
Liverpool now hope to iron out the fine details of Fekirs move to the club and are optimistic of finalising a £55m transfer in the next 24 hours, according to the Mirror.
Fekir will be given permission to leave Frances World Cup training base and could undergo his medical on Merseyside on Friday.
