Headbutts instantly opens up nasty cuts on Terry Flanagans face during title fight
Terry Flanagan suffered heartbreak in his first world title tilt at super-lightweight and picked up two nasty cuts during the fight.
The Manchester native was bidding to become a two-weight world champion against Maurice Hooker, but was hampered by two gashes sustained in the seventh round.
Flanagan and Hooker fought to the final bell in a bloody fight, in which the pair clashed heads on several occasions.

Hooker complained about Flanagans headbutting him at the start of the fight, before the seventh round saw the Brit come off the worse from an accidental clash of heads.
BT Sport cameras picked up the exact moments where a cuts by Flanagans eye and on his forehead were opened.
Flanagan did not have any serious complaints when the scorecards were read out, as the judges returned a split decision for Hooker.

The American and new WBO champion Hooker paid tribute to his opponent after their massively entertaining encounter.
He said: Two great warriors after battle. Cheers to you Terry Flanagan. You are a class act and showed amazing heart tonight.
