Marcos Alonso explains how Chelsea blew two-goal lead against Arsenal
Marcos Alonso admits Chelseas lack of tactical discipline almost cost them victory in Saturdays pulsating London derby against Arsenal.
Goals from Pedro and Alvaro Morata inside the opening 20 minutes gave Chelsea a commanding lead, but Unai Emerys side rallied and were level before the break courtesy of strikes from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alex Iwobi.
The visitors were guilty of several other glaring misses before Alonso stole all three points with just under 10 minutes remaining, preserving Maurizio Sarris perfect start to his Chelsea tenure.
They have good players, they have the quality and we saw that if we dont press and dont stick together it is not easy, said Chelseas match-winner.
We just gave them too much space and didnt press at the right times after losing the ball.

That gave them time to play and counter-attack. They have the quality and the speed to give us troubles, but we came back strongly in the second half and it is a very important three points for us.
I think it was a bit of a crazy game, which is usual in the Premier League. These things happen, but the way we came back in the second half, it was very important to have this personality, to play and to come back after a bad end to the first half.
I think that was very important and shows we are working well and focused on winning.
