Thomas Tuchel talks up Danny Rose ahead of potential move to PSG
Paris Saint-Germain head coach Thomas Tuchel has talked up a potential move for Tottenhams Danny Rose by saying it took him three days to work out how to stop him while he was managing Borussia Dortmund.
During the 2015-16 season, Spurs were drawn against Dortmund in the Europa League and Tuchels men won comprehensively 5-1 on aggregate.
At the time, Rose was one of Spurs most in-form players, but he was left out of the starting line-up in both legs as Mauricio Pochettino prioritised a Premier League title challenge.

Since then, Rose and Pochettinos relationship has soured with the left-back linked with a move to PSG before the transfer window closes on August 31.

Addressing the speculation, Tuchel said: I will not comment on transfer rumours. I will simply say that I came up against Tottenham Hotspur 3 years ago & it took me 3 days to work out how best to combat him.
After emerging as a key player during the 2015-16 season, Rose became increasingly influential the following season as a wing-back after Pochettino altered his system to a 3-4-2-1.
However, an ankle injury sustained in January 2017 curtailed Roses progress and that allied with an outburst against the club in August, resulted in Rose dropping down the pecking order at Spurs.
So far this season, Ben Davies has been preferred at left-back and Pochettino is happy for Rose to leave with a move to Europe now his only opportunity following the close of the English transfer window.
PSG, who won the domestic treble in France last season, are looking to sign a left-back in the next couple of weeks and Tuchels comments suggest that Rose is on their shortlist.
