Why Mesut Ozil misses Arsenal vs West Ham
Arsenal star Mesut Ozil was ruled out of Saturdays match against West Ham through illness.
The Germany World Cup winner has endured a difficult start to life under new manager Unai Emery following on from a controversial summer with his national team.
Ozil was substituted midway through the second half at Stamford Bridge last weekend with the scored locked at 2-2.
The 29-year-old trained on Thursday but was absent from Fridays session at the Emirates Stadium.
Ozils absence has resulted in a reprieve for Aaron Ramsey who was dropped last weekend. The Wales international is yet to commit his future to the north London club with less than a year remaining on his current contract but his manager wants the 27-year-old to focus solely on his football.

I spoke with him last week but now, today, my focus is on the match and I want the player to be focused only on Saturday.
Granit Xhaka maintains his place in the starting XI, meanwhile, meaning Lucas Toerreira must continue his wait for a first start since his summer move from Sampdoria.
