Arsenal fans sent into meltdown as Aaron Ramseys agency drop contract hint

Aaron Ramseys agency have sent Arsenal fans into a frenzy after dropping a social media hint over the midfielders contract.

The 27-year-olds current deal expires next summer and a number of clubs are keeping a close eye on the situation, with Chelsea, Manchester United and Barcelona all linked in recent months.

Unai Emery is keen to tie Ramsey down with a new long-term contract but its understood that the Welshman is considering leaving the Gunners at the end of the 2018/19 campaign.

With Gooners desperate for any update on Ramseys future, a tweet from the midfielders agency sent many into meltdown on Tuesday morning.

Hoping for some big news today! #AvidSports, Avid Sports & Entertainment Group told their followers.

The tweet was immediately flooded with messages from Arsenal supporters putting two and two together.

Of course the message could have been referring to one of Avid Sports other clients but Arsenal fans were quick to draw conclusions…

Former Arsenal star Paul Merson admitted he was shocked that Ramsey stayed at the club this summer.

I am shocked he is still there, Merson told Sky Sports.

He should just sign now. I thought Chelsea might come in for him. But Arsenal is a massive football club.

He plays every week for Arsenal. He could go elsewhere and might only play 15 games every season.
