Why Pep Guardiola has left Leroy Sane out of Manchester City squad against Newcastle
Leroy Sane was omitted from Manchester Citys matchday squad against Newcastle amid concerns over his attitude, according to reports.
Last seasons PFA Young Player of the Year earned a recall to the Germany national team in midweek, after he surprisingly missed out on World Cup selection, but has endured a difficult start to the new Premier League campaign.
Sane has failed to start any of Citys three matches so far and produced a woeful cameo from the bench against Wolves last weekend.
According to Goal, Sane has been left out for the visit of Newcastle Pep Guardiola unhappy at the former Schalke starlets application.

The notoriously meticulous Guardiola is said to believe the 22-year-old needs to be sent a clear message and dropping him from todays 18-man squad could provide the jolt to the system he needs.

Competition for places remains intense in Guardiolas star-studded line-up, highlighted by the presence of Bernardo Silva, Vincent Kompany and Ilkay Gundogan on the substitutes bench today.
Both have played pivotal roles during the opening weeks of the season but have been replaced in the starting line-up by John Stones, Gabriel Jesus and Citys headline summer signing Riyad Mahrez, who makes his first start since the opening day win over Arsenal.
