Unai Emery speaks out on Sokratis Papastathopoulos injury after Everton victory
Unai Emery confirmed that Sokratis Papastathopoulos will be assessed by doctors after sustaining a knee injury against Everton.
Sokratis, who completed an £18million move from Borussia Dortmund to Arsenal in the summer, started alongside Shkodran Mustafi in central defence but was forced off in the 39th minute at the Emirates.
The Greece international limped off the pitch after a knock to his knee and was replaced by Rob Holding before goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sealed a 2-0 win for the Gunners.
Emerys side face Brentford on Wednesday evening and it appears Arsenal could be without Sokratis for the Carabao Cup clash.
