Manchester United should consider replacing Jose Mourinho with former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, according to Paul Merson.
The Red Devils have made a poor start to the new Premier League season and found themselves 2-0 down at home to Newcastle United on Saturday.
Mourinho may have been sacked had his team suffered a fourth league defeat of the season but United managed to score three second-half goals to complete a stunning comeback.

Despite the 3-2 victory, Mourinho still faces pressure at Old Trafford, with United already out of the Carabao Cup and only eighth in the top-flight.
If the former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss is sacked, Merson believes United could do a lot worse than turn to former Gunners manager Wenger.

He told Sky Sports: Seriously, thats not the worst idea in the world. Youve got to look at what Wenger did.
You dont have to go out and buy £70m to £80m players with some of the gems hes got over time.
Its not a bad shout. Sometimes you just need a fresh start.
Wenger, 68, spent over two decades at Arsenal before leaving the club at the end of the 2017-18 season.
As Mourinho continues to struggle at Manchester United, Paul Ince has urged the Portuguese boss to evolve.
What he has to understand is the games evolved, he said.
Its not about when he was at Inter Milan going in the Champions League and having to park the bus and go defensively.
The philosophy and teams that hes had have been completely different to Manchester United.

Id like him to stay but he has to start changing from his methods that he used years back to understand that the games gone forward.
