Nathan Ake speaks out on Manchester United transfer speculation
Bournemouth star Nathan Ake has poured cold water on rumours that he could be set to sign for Manchester United.
Jose Mourinho worked with Ake at Chelsea before he was sacked back in 2015 and reports suggest the Portuguese is keen to be reunited with the 23-year-old centre-back at Old Trafford.
Harry Maguire, Toby Alderweireld, Diego Godin and Jerome Boateng were all considered in the summer but Uniteds board refused to pay over the odds for Mourinhos defensive targets.

Ake has emerged as a potential option for United ahead of the January transfer window but the Netherlands international cooled the speculation.
Ive seen it pass by but of course its rumours, he told Dutch outlet footballoranje.com.
At the moment I play at Bournemouth and that is going well, so I focus on that.

This does not say much about my status yet. They are rumours on the internet and as long as I do not hear anything myself, I will not go into that.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe insisted earlier this season that hes looking to build his side around Ake.
Nathan has been a model of consistency, not just on match-day but every day in training, Howe said.
That is the mark of a model pro and someone who will improve.

We had a big fight to get him in the summer, it wasnt easy and Im delighted he has had such a great season.
A player of that quality and with the attitude he has is tough to recruit in this day and age. He is good enough, will only get better and is great age.
He has got the attitude you can build a team around.
