Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang thanked Mesut Ozil after the midfielders sensational performance in Arsenals 3-1 victory over Leicester.

Unai Emery entrusted Ozil with the captains armband at the Emirates on Monday night and the German repaid his managers faith with one of his most breathtaking displays in an Arsenal shirt.

The Gunners went behind in the 31st minute after Ben Chilwells cross deflected in off Hector Bellerin but Emerys side equalised with a stunning first-time strike from Ozil just before the break.

Ozil also had a part in Aubameyangs 63rd-minute effort to give Arsenal the lead before providing the assist for the Gabonese striker to put the north London club out of sight.
