Anthony Martials future in doubt after rejecting latest Manchester United contract offer
Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has plunged his future at the club into doubt by rejecting a deal to stay at Old Trafford.
The Frenchman is out of contract at the end of the season, though United will trigger a 12-month extension clause in his deal should they fail to reach an agreement with him by January.
United are keen to tie Martial down to a new long-term deal and Metro.co.uk understands the Red Devils had grown increasingly confident in recent weeks of doing so.
Martials representatives have been locked in talks with the club for a number of weeks but Martial has rejected Uniteds latest offer, according to Sky Sports.
The report claims talks will continue in the hope of finding an agreement and Martials team could simply be trying to extract a bigger offer out of the club.

However, the rejection will come as a blow to United, who had hoped to build on Luke Shaws extension by agreeing a new deal with Martial.
The Frenchman clashed with Mourinho during Uniteds pre-season tour because he failed to return to training on time after his partner had a baby.
Martial, though, has started Uniteds last four matches and has scored three times in that run.
