Jurgen Klopp admits Liverpool must find a cure to their dismal away form in the Champions League if they are to progress from Group C.

Two first half goals from Milan Pavkov condemned last years beaten finalists to their third consecutive away defeat in the competition and their place in the knockout phase is now in serious jeopardy.

The Reds travel to the French capital to face PSG later this month and defeat against the runaway Ligue 1 leaders would leave no room for error in their final game against Napoli at Anfield.

It made sense to make a few changes, a few we had to make and a few we wanted to, said Klopp, who rested both Roberto Firmino and Joe Gomez, only to bring both players on at half time.

In the end, its easy to say it didnt work out. Of course, we need to make sure it will not happen again otherwise it will be difficult because the next game is already an away game again and the last one is a very difficult home game against Napoli.

We have to make sure in Paris we do better. There were a lot of moments when we could get in control of the game and we didnt do it, we made the wrong decisions.

I dont think thats anything to do with [playing] away or home, it just happened. We will talk about that and will do it better 100 per cent, but for tonight we cant change it anymore, unfortunately.

We were not surprised. If you saw the first game, it was similar – it was wild, direct, stuff like that. In Liverpool we controlled the game and tonight we didnt.

They were aggressive, very aggressive, in all parts – but they were aggressive in the last game as well, we only did better.

We made life a bit too easy tonight for Belgrade, thats the main problem. As I said, they deserved it with the passion they fought [with].

In the end you have to score goals in a game and if you think about how often we were in the box and around, thats what you have to do in a game but you have to make the last decision in the right way and we didnt. Thats why we lost 2-0.
