Jose Mourinho keen to sell Manchester United duo to sign defender in January
Jose Mourinho is reportedly pushing to cash in on Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo in January in order to make room for a new defender at Manchester United.
The Portuguese made no secret of his desire to bring in a central defender in the summer, with Toby Alderweireld, Harry Maguire, Jerome Boateng and Diego Godin all linked to the club.
However, United refused to pay over the odds for Mourinhos targets and only Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant entered through the doors at Old Trafford ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.

According to The Telegraph, Mourinho is once again determined to bring in a centre-back this winter and Tottenhams Alderweireld remains on his radar. Inter Milans Milan Skriniar is also admired by Uniteds manager.

Its claimed Mourinho is prepared to let Bailly and Rojo leave if it makes signing a new defender more realistic.
Bailly arrived at the club with a huge reputation back in June 2016 but Mourinhos £30million signing has so far struggled to live up to his sizeable price tag.
Rojo, who is yet to make a single appearance for the Red Devils this term, was heavily linked with a move away in the summer despite signing a new contract in March.
Its understood United would be willing to sell the Argentina international for the right price.
Mourinho appeared to send a message to Uniteds board with some extravagant praise for Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci following the sides defeat to Juventus.
When we speak about quality sometimes people look for Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala, Miralem Pjanic, Mourinho told BT Sport.
But in the top team, you have to look to Chiellini and Bonucci and I think they are this kind of team. When they are in front it is very difficult to concede a goal.

In the second half Juventus defended and they held the game with an extra centre-back so it was a really difficult match for us.

I thought before the game and during the game that we could take something out of this game but we couldnt score.
Mr Bonucci and Mr Chiellini could go to Harvard to give lessens on central defending. Fantastic, absolutely fantastic.
