Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku ruled out of Belgiums clash with Iceland due to hamstring injury
Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has been ruled out of Belgiums clash with Iceland on Thursday evening due to a hamstring injury.
The 25-year-old was in a race to be fit for the Manchester derby on Sunday due to his hamstring problem and came on as a second-half substitute in the 3-1 defeat at the Etihad Stadium.
Lukaku missed the wins over Bournemouth and Juventus due to the injury and Belgium have now confirmed that the striker will play no part in their Nations League fixture this week.
Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi, who is currently on loan at Valencia, will lead Belgiums attack.
Belgium have not yet confirmed whether Lukaku will be fit enough to play any part of their Nations League group game against Switzerland on Sunday.
