Paul Scholes reacts to Jose Mourinho dropping Paul Pogba for Arsenal showdown
Paul Scholes has backed Jose Mourinhos decision to drop Paul Pogba to the bench against Arsenal by saying that the Frenchman cannot be trusted.
Mourinho rang the changes for Uniteds meeting with Arsenal at Old Trafford, making seven in total from the team that drew 2-2 with Southampton.
Pogbas demotion was certainly the headline news and before the game, Mourinho explained that both he and Romelu Lukaku had been left out for technical and tactical reasons.
It appears to be the latest installment in the ongoing saga between Mourinho and Pogba this season but Scholes sympathised with the decision saying United are still waiting on the 25-year-old to mature as a player.

Speaking on BT Sport, Scholes said: Pogba was poor at the weekend [against Southampton]. He cant trust him, how can you trust him when hes giving the ball away so often?
You think about him at Juventus where he was very good, but he always played in a wider position
The manager there Allegri couldnt trust him in that central position. This is the performance you get from him where he cant seem to pass a ball without doing a trick or a flick.
You just hope some day the penny will drop with him. Hes getting to an age now where you think it should be but performances are showing its taking him too long for him to become a mature player.
It was the only second time this season that Pogba has not featured in Mourinhos starting line-up for a Premier League following his injury-enforced absence against Manchester City last month.
Ander Herrera, Nemanja Matic and Jesse Lingard, who came on as a substitute against Southampton, were all preferred to Pogba in Mourinhos new-look 5-3-2 formation.
Pogba endured a difficult evening on the South Coast on Saturday, misplacing a number of passes and receiving a caution for a wild lunge on his former Juventus teammate Mario Lemina.
