Tyson Furys promoter Frank Warren has touted April 13 as a potential date for the rematch against Deontay Wilder while insisting a fight against Anthony Joshua “cant be made”.

Fury recently battled to a draw against WBC world champion Wilder in Los Angeles, climbing off the canvas twice during the 12 rounds.

But despite being on the floor, many viewers believed the Brit won the fight and should have been awarded the decision at the Staples Centre.

Now, fans are clamouring for the rematch to settle the score, which promoter Warren has suggested could take place on April 13, the same night as Joshuas next fight.

Obviously the Anthony Joshua fight is a big fight but we cant make that, Warren told iFL TV. So were doing the fight that everybody wants.

It cant be made, can it? How can it be made? The other side [Matchroom and Eddie Hearn], all they keep talking about is wanting to fight Wilder.

Ive never heard them once say they want to fight Tyson Fury, the winner of the fight. Not once have you heard that, ever.

He said [Hearn] hes trying to make Wilder for April. Thats what theyve been saying, which is a load of rubbish.

Its a load of rubbish. You know what their agenda is. Their agenda is this domestic heavyweight dust-up theyve got [between Dereck Chisora and Dillian Whyte], is the winner of that, which theyre thinking is going to be Whyte to fight him [Joshua] in Wembley.

Is it on the 13th [April]? Coincidentally its the date were looking for to do the Fury and Wilder fight.

Warren also stated that a potential rematch between Fury and Wilder could take place in the UK, however, theres still a long way to go before that is finalised.

After that decision of course he wants the fight here [in the UK], Warren added. Its all about negotiations. Its all about reaching the financial expectations of the two boxers.
