Fabian Edwards takes on British rival Lee Chadwick at Bellator Newcastle

Lee Chadwick and Fabian Edwards will make their Bellator debuts against one another in Newcastle on 9 February.

Edwards has been chasing a fight with the former Cage Warriors champion since signing for Bellator earlier this year, as he aims to establish himself as Europes best middleweight.

Chadwick though is on a three-fight winning streak, while Edwards is undefeated in five pro fights with five finishes.

Edwards is known to MMA fans as the brother of UFC star Leon Edwards and the training partner of Aaron Chalmers.

Chalmers is the chief support act for Bellators trip to Newcastle, with Ryan Scope taking on Patricky Pitbull Friere in the main event.

The addition of Edwards vs Chadwick to the Newcastle card comes hot on the heels of the news that two-weight BAMMA champion Terry Brazier will also make his promotional debut in February.

Brazier faces Scotsman Chris Bungard at lightweight as he looks to aims to successfully bridge the gap between BAMMA to Bellator.

The Newcastle card will be Bellators launch event of their U.K., Ireland and Western Europe fight series that will run throughout 2019.

Bellator has snapped up a host of talent across Europe in the last few months, with Brazier, Edwards and Chadwick joining the likes of Lewis Long, Richard Kiely, Jim Wallhead, Paul Redmond and Norman Parke in joining the American MMA promotion.
