Eddie Hearn claims he has spoken several times to Tyson Fury since his fight against Deontay Wilder and hinted at trouble between the Gypsy King and promoter Frank Warren.

There is speculation that Fury wants to take a break rather than immediately set up a rematch with Wilder following their blockbuster split-draw, while he was absent from the Manchester Arena on Saturday night for younger brother Tommys pro debut despite being down to attend.

Hearn is currently trying to find an opponent for Anthony Joshua at Wembley on April 13, and he says Fury could be in the mix for that fight.

Yeah he text me a few times, weve spoken a few times, Hearn said after Dillian Whyte knocked out Dereck Chisora at Londons O2 Arena.

Look, Joshua wants to be undisputed and if he cant get that then he looks at Fury and Dillian. But these guys arent lapdogs. Theyre not going to turn around and say, “Yep, alright, just tell me what the deal is and Ill be there”.

So these guys, theyre not just a voluntary pick where theyre over the moon to get a shot. Theyre in position. So whether its Dillian, whether its Fury, whether its Jarrell Miller, whether its Wilder.

Asked if the deal is harder to make because of Hearns poor relationship with Warren, he smiled and replied: Is he with Frank? Well if hes calling me…

Hearn made a play to promote Fury when he first returned to boxing and says he wanted the 30-year-old to take on Whyte – a fight that could still happen.

He added: Yeah, thats a great fight. We tried to make that fight before. When Tyson Fury came back, I wanted to do a three-fight deal: warm-up fight, Tony Bellew, Dillian Whyte. Whyte-Fury is a massive fight. Thats a Wembley fight.
