Maurizio Sarri explains why he subbed Callum Hudson-Odoi on and off against Watford
Maurizio Sarri has revealed that substitute Callum Hudson-Odoi was forced off with a hamstring injury during Chelseas 2-1 win over Watford.
Eden Hazard scored both goals for Chelsea in a hard-fought victory at Vicarage Road and the result meant Sarris side leapfrogged Arsenal to go fourth in the Premier League table.
Roberto Pereyra gave Watford some hope as he cancelled out Hazards opening effort in a frantic period before the break but a moment of recklessness from Ben Foster proved decisive.
Watfords goalkeeper barged Hazard to the floor in the 58th minute and the Belgian made no mistake from the penalty spot.

Sarri introduced Hudson-Odoi for his opening league appearance of the season as Pedro was forced off in the 43rd minute and the 18-year-old showed glimpses of promise. However, the youngster was replaced by Emerson with five minutes remaining.
Speaking after the win, Sarri explained: We dont know how much Pedro is injured, we will evaluate tomorrow.
That is the same problem with Callum Hudson-Odoi. He had a little injury a few days ago, yesterday it was good and he managed 50-55 minutes.
We thought it was better to substitute him.
Hudson-Odoi uploaded a picture to Snapchat of his leg in heavy strapping after the win and Chelsea will be wait to discover the severity of the problem.
Sarri will be hoping that both Hudson-Odoi and Pedro are available for the Blues trip to Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Sarri was satisfied with Chelseas performance but believes his side must be more clinical.
I think we played a good match with a good level of determination and attention for 90 minutes, the Italian said.
