Daniel Cormier has admitted he is unsure if he will defend his UFC heavyweight title against Brock Lesnar in his final fight.

The UFC have been teasing a showdown between Cormier and Lesnar since the summer of 2018, when the WWE star confronted the fighter in the octagon moments after he became the heavyweight champion.

But there has been no further developments on a potential match-up since Lesnar announced he had re-enrolled in the US Anti-Doping Agencys testing pool.

Cormier plans to retire in March before he turns 40, and said he wants to rematch Stipe Miocic if the fight with Lesnar is axed.

As of right now with the Lesnar thing, thats kinda still up in the air, Cormier told MMA Fighting.

Ive gotten a lot of, Youre not willing to fight Jones, you talk trash about Jones [and he his drug testing issues], but youre willing to fight Lesnar?

Nobody knows whats in place in terms of drug testing between Brock Lesnar and I. These are just general assumptions as to what is Brock Lesnar truly going through right now to try to be eligible to compete.

We could be doing so many different things that people are unaware of, and if Brock Lesnars clean on the day that we fight, because of these things, then why cant I fight him?

Or, if he doesnt fight, then Ill fight Stipe Miocic. I talked to the boss (Dana White) the other day and hes talking to me about fights and Brock Lesnar and Jon Jones and everybody, and I said, If Lesnar doesnt go, Stipe has to be first.

He deserves it, and Ive said it from the beginning. If it aint Brock, I want to fight Stipe Miocic and give him whats rightfully his, a rematch for this title.

Hes going to get beat again, but at least hell get a chance to fight for that belt again.

Lesnar is still competing in the WWE, and it is believed his doping ban is set to expire sometime this month after the frozen suspension was reactivated last year.
