Lionel Messi will never be seen on the same level as Diego Maradona, according to Argentina World Cup winner Hector Enrique.

Messi has scored 65 goals in 129 games for his country, but has often been criticised for failing to win the World Cup or Copa America.

Argentina finished runners-up at the 2014 World Cup, where Messi won the Best Player award, and have finished second at three Copa Americas with Messi involved.

However, Enrique, who lifted the 1986 World Cup with Argentina, alongside Diego Maradona, has blasted the Barcelona mans performances for the national team.
