Ole Gunnar Solskjaer responds to Roy Keanes scathing criticism of Manchester United team
Roy Keane has never been afraid to say what he thinks and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes he is justified in his scathing criticism of his team.
Keane raged at the Manchester United squad prior to the match, claiming there were too many bluffers at Old Trafford and predicting that the players would throw Solskjaer under the bus in the same manner they did his predecessor Jose Mourinho.
After the match, Keane also stated his opinion that United need a new back-four if they are to realistically challenge Manchester City for the title next season and he believes Solskjaer has a huge task on his hands to fix the clubs mess.
The Norwegian tactician was confronted with his former team-mates comments after the 2-0 defeat to Pep Guardiolas men and he hardly leapt to the defence of his players.

With Roy Ive always had a great relationship with him, Solskjaer said. And, how do you say, I value his opinion very highly and hes got his opinion.
We played together for many, many years and hes a Man United guy, as well, he hurts just as much as anyone else connected to us, that we are so far behind City as we are.
And thats my job, to make sure when we come back pre-season that I have the right characters in and around. Because that should never be allowed.
Because when youre at Man United the spotlight will be on you, headlines, and youve gotta make sure you come into work every single day with the effort like they gave today, thats your duty.
