Matthijs de Ligt hints he would favour Barcelona move ahead of Manchester United

Ajax centre-back Matthijs de Ligt has suggested he would favour a move to Barcelona ahead of Manchester United.

Barcelona are considered favourites to sign De Ligt but deal is reportedly being held up by Mino Raiolas demands, as he is requesting a larger salary for the defender as well as a bigger agents fee.

Last week, reports claimed that De Ligt is not ruling out a move to Manchester United, despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaers side failing to secure Champions League football for next season.

But the 19-year-old has now indicated that he would prefer a move to Barcelona to play alongside his Ajax teammate Frenkie de Jong, who has already agreed a £65 million deal to join Camp Nou this summer.
