Global advisory, broking and solutions company Willis Towers Watson (WTW) has announced the appointment Matthew Gooden to the role of director and head of sales across its professional indemnity (PI) team. Matthew will be tasked with driving new business leads for the firm, in a hire which reflects the increasing demand for PI cover the firm is experiencing from organisations in the legal, professional, financial services and construction sectors. Prior to joining WTW, Matthew worked as a broker in the M&A insurance space where he helped generate new business and provide insurance solutions on some of the largest and most complex corporate real estate transactions across Europe. A qualified solicitor, he started his career as a commercial property lawyer at what is now Gowling WLG, dealing with a full range of real estate matters for institutional clients.
Morningstar
Morningstar Investment Management Europe, part of the Morningstar Investment Management group, has announced that Martin Coyle has been appointed head of business development in the UK effective immediately. In this role, Martin will lead the UK distribution team to help promote the Morningstar managed portfolio service to financial advisers. Martin has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, primarily concentrating on Investment and platform solutions, having worked across both the Australian and UK markets. He joins from Aegon UK where he served first as head of platform distribution and strategy before his most recent role as distribution director for platform and investments. Prior to this, he held senior positions at Axa Wealth and Prudential in the UK.
