Real Madrid star Lucas Vasquez picks between Tottenham and Arsenal transfers

express– Real Madrid wantaway Lucas Vasquez has been offered to both Tottenham and Arsenal ahead of a potential summer move, according to reports. The 29-year-old has featured regularly for the Spanish giants this season, playing every minute of their last four La Liga matches, but is keen to move on after rejecting the offer of a new three-year contract with a 10 per cent wage cut.

Vasquez worked under Spurs boss Jose Mourinho during the latter’s time in charge at the Santiago Bernabeu, and would be more than willing to reunite with the Portuguese coach in England.

The allure of living in the capital has also introduced Arsenal into the equation, with the Gunners having been sounded out over the possibility of a move.

Although Vasquez is hoping that his immediate future will be settled as quickly as possible, he could decide to snub the north London rivals due to his preference for a four-year deal with the promise of Champions League football.

With Spurs out of the Europa League and facing an uphill battle to seal a top-four finish this season, and Arsenal well adrift of the Premier League’s upper reaches, it seems unlikely that either club will be able to fulfil the Spaniard’s demands.
