Celtic crashed out of the Champions League at the third qualifying stage on Tuesday night after defeat to AEK Athens in Greece.
A draw in Glasgow and then a loss in the Greek capital confirmed that the Bhoys will not be making the group stages of the competition for the first time since Brendan Rodgers arrival as manager.
With an early exit from Europes premier tournament comes significant financial implications as the SPL champions miss out on the riches of the Champions League proper.
So just how much cash have Celtic lost out on thanks to their qualifying heartache?

Celtic picked up €480,000 (£427,716) for losing in the third round of Champions League qualifying.
If they had reached the group stages, as they did in the previous two seasons, the Bhoys would have been guaranteed a minimum of €15,250,000 (£13.59m).

There are also performance bonuses in the group stages with €2.7m (£2.4m) per win and €900,000 (£802,000) per draw.

Celtic now head into the Europa League play-off round, so their earning potential is not over, but it is severely depleted.
If they lose in the play-offs (where they meet either Spartaks Jūrmala or Sūduva Marijampolė) then they will get €300,000 (£267,000).
However, if they make the Europa League group stages Celtic are guaranteed €2,920,000 (£2.6m) with bonuses of €570,000 (£508,000) per win and €190,000 (£169,000) per draw.

For winning the Europa League in 2019, a club will receive €8,500,000 (£7.5m) – just over half of what a group stage Champions League team will be paid.
