Arsenal legend Ian Wright slams sloppy Alexandre Lacazette after defeat to Chelsea
Ian Wright was heavily critical of Arsenal substitute Alexandre Lacazette for his part in Marcos Alonsos goal which secured a 3-2 victory for Chelsea.
Pedro and Alvaro Morata gave Chelsea a two-goal advantage after only 20 minutes before the Gunners mounted an impressive comeback towards the end of the first half at Stamford Bridge.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan found the corner of Kepa Arrizabalagas net before Alex Iwobi, arguably Arsenals standout player, scored an equaliser for Unai Emerys side in the 41st minute.

Arsenal looked to have salvaged a respectable draw but Lacazettes wayward pass was intercepted by Eden Hazard who then set up Alonso for Chelseas winner.

Asked about Chelseas winning goal in the 81st minute, Match of the Day pundit Wright said: They didnt help themselves. It was a poor, sloppy bit of play from Lacazette.
Talking about Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, they get on well, they play well together and they train, but wheres he passing to? Passing into danger.
From there, Arsenal are in trouble.
Wright also criticised Lacazettes poor attempt to recover the ball in the lead-up to Alonsos goal.
Its a token gesture from Lacazette to close them down. He beats him very easily.

If you watch Alonso, hes right on the periphery but once he goes past Lacazette youre really hoping [Lucas] Torreira might see him and pick him up.
He doesnt pick him up and when you consider how Arsenal get back into this game, how it started for them and how they got back into it, it really was quite a sloppy goal to give away, in respect to Lacazettes poor play.
