Ian Wright reveals he is frightened by the form of Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka
Ian Wright fears Granit Xhakas confidence has been shot to pieces and believes the midfielder faces an extended spell on the sidelines.
The Switzerland international looked set to play a prominent role under Unai Emery after he signed a new long-term contract in the summer and was named as one of five potential captains.
Xhaka, however, has been well off the pace during the course of Arsenals two Premier League matches this season and was hooked at half time following a sub-standard display in the defeat at Chelsea last weekend.
With him [Guendouzi] and Torreira who is still really to come in and make a start I think it will be them two [against West Ham], he told Sky Sports.

They will be the ones who are more confident about being able to get the ball in those areas and be confident enough to turn.
Someone like Xhaka is frightening me at the moment if the ball goes to him. His confidence is shot.
Despite back-to-back defeats, Wright has been encouraged by the strong stance Emery has taken with several of Arsenals most high-profile figures, including Mesut Ozil who was also taken off midway through the second half at Stamford Bridge with the game still in the balance.
But what is good and encouraging is that Emery made those substitutions and they were big substitutions for me, he added.
Xhaka probably would have stayed on under Arsene Wenger and so would Ozil.
What that said in the dressing room is that nobody is safe and if you dont do what we need you to do, then you are coming off.
So I was pleased to see that.
