Pep Guardiola unhappy with Manchester City as Frenkie De Jong deal stalls
Pep Guardiola is reportedly angry that Manchester City could miss out on Frenkie De Jong with the Ajax playmaker tipped to join PSG instead.
De Jong, 21, had been lined up by Guardiola as the perfect replacement for Fernandinho at the base of Manchester Citys midfield, with the Brazilian turning 34 before the end of the season.
The Dutchman is one of the most highly-rated young players in world football and it had looked as if City had won the race to sign him for a fee worth £66.8m
According to the Daily Mirror, City officials had been due to fly out to Amsterdam on Thursday for talks with Ajax, before informing the club that they wished to put the deal on hold.
The Mirror claim that Guardiola has been left angry and frustrated at Citys failure to seal the deal.

Citys hesitancy, perhaps due to concerns over potential Fifa Fair Play sanctions, has opened the door for PSG to jump ahead of City in the queue to sign De Jong.
Should City fail to land De Jong next summer, he would be another high-profile player that slipped through their grasp following on from Alexis Sanchezs move to Manchester United and Jorginhos decision to join Chelsea.
De Jong, who can also play as a centre back or even a No.10, has scored twice and provided one assist in the Eredivisie this season, while he has also completed 21/25 attempted dribbles.
He has been one of the stars of the Dutch national teams renaissance under Ronald Koeman and injury permitting, will face England in the Nations League semi-final in June.
