Ajax winger Justin Kluivert has denied speaking to Jose Mourinho about a move to Manchester United and insists he knows ‘little’ about the club’s reported interest in him.

Mourinho was seen conversing with the youngster after United’s 2-0 Europa League final win against Ajax last May and it’s been widely reported that the 55-year-old wants to sign the Dutchman.

Kluivert, the son of Barcelona legend Patrick, burst onto the scene last season and has kicked on this term by scoring six goals in 20 league appearances.

However the Dutchman has denied speculation he has spoken to Mourinho about a move to United and says he’s focused on Ajax.

‘There will always be rumours, but not all is true,’ said Kluivert.

‘I know as little as you guys do

‘I get that question a lot of course, but he did not say anything like that in the last match against United.’

Mourinho stressed last week that he is happy with his attacking options following the arrival of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal and will instead be looking to strengthen other areas of the team.

The 55-year-old will sign at least one midfielder to replace the retiring Michael Carrick and could sign a second if Maraoune Fellaini decides to leave.
