The Royal Family – Prince Charles is the New King
The royal family has a long history, and Prince Charles is the current King of England. He and his wife Camilla are a couple of great-grandparents. Camilla is the daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and former Prince Charles, and her future position as a monarch may have an effect on her children. Camilla will be a future queen, and Charles will try to draw attention to her and the Cambridge family. Queen Elizabeth II has stated that she wants the Duchess of Cornwall to be called Queen Consort. Charles has said that he will honor the Queen’s wishes.
Prince Charles
Prince Charles is a controversial figure who has a reputation for overstepping boundaries. He has reshaped the court into a grand salon for convening the powerful, despite clashing with some parts of civic society. He has also cast himself as a tribune of the quiet majority, and has vowed to stay politically neutral as the new King. He is a keen environmentalist who has also pushed for organic farming and climate change mitigation. Recently, Charles gave the Queen’s Speech in the House of Lords, replacing Queen Elizabeth II, who was unable to attend due to mobility problems. The speech was a revealing preview of Charles’ future role as King.
Prince William
Prince William is the son of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, and is the second-in-line to the throne. His ancestry is Indian. He was born in St Mary’s Hospital, London. He attended school at Wetherby School, Ludgrove School, and Eton College. He spent parts of his gap year travelling to Chile and Belize. He then went on to complete a Master of Arts degree in geography from the University of St Andrews. He then trained for the armed forces at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and fought with the Blues and Royals. He later finished his military training at the Royal Air Force College Cranwell, where he flew full-time with the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
Prince Harry
Prince Harry, now known as Prince Harry, is the son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. Harry attended the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst, England, and served in the Army. He was deployed twice to Afghanistan as an Apache helicopter gunner and co-pilot. After leaving the military, he decided to devote his time to charitable work. He also became a Counsellor of State, standing in for the Queen on official duties.
Prince George
Prince George is the youngest of the three heirs to the British throne and has already begun learning about his role in the monarchy. His parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, took him on his first royal tour when he was just nine months old. Since then, he has been accompanying his parents on numerous royal visits.
