Manchester United will demand a fee of up to £140million to sell club-record signing Paul Pogba this summer.

And this limits the clubs in a position to sign the French midfielder to just Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona, according to the Daily Mail.

Pogba started his professional career at Old Trafford almost a decade ago but left for Juventus under Sir Alex Fergusons watch after refusing to sign a new deal.

He completed a stunning return to the club two years ago, in a deal that cost almost £90m, but is already being linked with another move.

Jose Mourinho is said to have grown increasingly frustrated with Pogba and is now willing to sell the 25-year-old with their relationship at breaking point.

Old Trafford chiefs are understandably reluctant to sanction such a departure, however, with Ed Woodward in particular desperate for the situation to be resolved.

But the Daily Mail say the pair have barely spoken all week and that the players agent, Mino Raiola, is in contact with a number of clubs about a move.

United will not sell Pogba cheaply, however, and would seek an offer of between £120m and £140m. This in turn would restrict the clubs capable of completing a deal to Europes elite.

Manchester City have explored the possibility of signing Pogba in the past and Pep Guardiola says he was offered the chance to take him across Manchester in January.

La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid and Barcelona, and 2016-17 Premier League champions Chelsea, could also look to strike a deal with the Red Devils.

But the most substantial interest appears to be coming from the French capital. PSG would not balk at such a fee and are believed to be in ongoing talks with Raiola.

With Pogba continuing to be heavily linked with a move, Mourinho is said to be eyeing the market for midfield reinforcements, with Shakhtar Donetsks Fred at the top of his wish-list.
